Mathwire is a site that teachers can use in their classrooms.  It has so many activities depending on the Month.  For example, since it is March, there are Math related St. Patrick's Day Activities. I think this is a great site because on the right hand side of the page it says "standards based mathematics".  The site uses the standards and it has great articles for teachers to read.   I will use this site in my own classroom to find activities if I need them.  I will also visit this site to read the articles it has.  This article this month is about rubrics and how to use them in your math classroom.

Math Manipulatives

This website has many different manipulatives that teachers can print out to use in their math classroom.  I think this is a great resource for teachers who have students that learn better with manipulatives.  I will be using these in my classroom when I am teaching for my students that learn better when they are using them. I will especially use them when I need Base 10 or Base five blocks.  This can ensure that all my students have a set they can use.  These manipulatives can also be sent home with students so that they can practice at night or on the weekend.

Math Cats

This is a wonderful site that students can use on a daily basis.  It has many Math games for students to play and it has an entire crafts section that includes Math.  Some of the crafts include a shape village, a triangle stand, number city, and a pentagon airport.  These are crafts that I an use when I teach about geometry and shapes. I plan to use the games on this website with my students during my math centers. I want to have a computer center for my students, but I don't want to always use the same website.  This will allow my students to learn different concepts in different ways.  I plan on showing the website to my class before our centers begin.

This part of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is a forum for Math teachers.  They can share ideas, lesson plans, and activities with each other.

PBS Teachers

PBS teachers has great Math resources for teachers to use  It even includes offline activities for the classroom.

A+ Math

This is a site for teachers. Teachers can find many resources for teaching math on this site. One resource that I thought was helpful was flash cards. They have a variety of flash cards to choose from to help students with one to one correspondence.

Number Games

Funbrain has many number games for students. This again is a good website for students to use when they are in their math centers.

Figure This is an interactive website that students and their families can use. It has challenges that are math problems that need to be figured out. Students can work them out with their families.

This is a wonderful site for teachers.  It has so many activities that teachers can use that incorporate the real world and math.  It has activities for Pi day, St. Patrick's Day, and many others.

Starfall Math for Students

This is an awesome website that students can use for Math.  They have games for geometry, numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Students can use this in Math centers for the classroom or they can practice at home if a computer is available.

Common Sense for the Common Core

This is a teaching resource for the Common Core Standards for Math.  It has many resources for the standards that can be used in the classroom.
